INHUMAN

An interview with the singer of awesome NYHC band INHUMAN!
WASTELAND (WL): You've been through some lineup changes. What is the current Inhuman line up?
The current INHUMAN lineup is MCS - vocals, Joseph James - Guitar (formerly on bass) Henry - bass (since Summer 2000) and Steve - drums (since May 2001).
WL: What is the hardest thing about line up changes?
Finding a person who not only clicks on a musical level, but on a semi-personal level as well. The hardest thing for us has been stabilizing a drummer. We have had "temps" for over a year! Now we have Steve who is also in ON THE RISE, so we can now concentrate on new material for our next record.
WL: How long has inhuman been together?
Since the summer of 1995, 6 friggin years.
WL: Does Inhuman plan on releasing anything new in the near future? On what
label?
Yes, it looks like a NEW Inhuman CD will be out in early 2002 on Thorp Records.
We haven’t seen or signed the contracts yet, but it’s looking extremely likely. Also, in late summer 2001, our 2ncd CD "Rebellion" will be released In Europe finally on KINGFISHER RECORDS with a new song as a bonus track and a cover and layout.
WL: What do the band members do for day jobs?
I am currently on unemployment, Steve works construction, Joe works part time and Henry works as a graphic designer.
WL: Have any of you been in the military? College?
Both Henry and myself are college graduates, no one has been in the military.
If any of us were to join the military, we would last about 2 days, the most. Ha ha
WL: What is your opinion of police officers?
I have several friends who are cops, but I like them because I know them, you know? There is a need for law and order, but too many cops abuse the badge and get away with murder.
WL: Have you ever fired a gun? What is your opinion of gun ownership?
I have never fired a gun, but I'd really like to. I have no problem with gun ownership at all, as long as the person who owns it isn’t a maniac. I say screen the hell out of people who apply for gun permits, too many psychos out there. If you have a gun and have children, lock that shit up!
WL: Capitalism vs. socialism?
Capitalism of course. I know I need money to live my life.
WL: What is your opinion on Vieques controversy?
Not much. I'm selfish in that I only care about my family, my friends, what goes on in my country and of course, myself.
WL: What kind of guitar equipment does Inhuman use?
Shit man, my poor guitarist BORROWS all the time!
WL: I borke up with my girlfriend of 13 years a few months ago. Ever been through a bad break up? What's your advice for the broken hearted?
I was dumped after 3 1/2 years by a girl and it didn't really hit me till months later. At first I was just angry and wanting to hook up with any girl I met. Then I got extremely depressed, then I formed INHUMAN. See the lyrics to the song "3 Years and 4 Months" on our first cd. Girls are the inspiration behind many songs I have written over the years.
WL: Thanks for the interview. Anything else you would like to talk about?
Yeah if you live in the NYC area you really should be supporting The Temple in Brooklyn. Myself along with 3 other partners put on all ages shows there and we like seeing new faces there.
WL: Where can people contact Inhuman?
