Strictly

Turn around
there's someone
there
he wants you to
feel pain
wants you to fail
he tells you to give up

to run

to flee

he knows me so well
because
he
is
me

By Armand Haberfeld

Point

point your will at me
from across the room
shout from the silent platform
make your presence known

because I find your image
interesting
and I wonder what's inside
draw me into your clutches
with the mystery of your mind

Ohio Girl

I am an Ohio girl through
& through Ohio is in me
and I am in Ohio
I may lack sophist-i-cation
of a fe-male New Yorrkerr
or flair of a Bay-be from El-lay
maybe or the savvy of a Chic-ago-chic
but what I'm lackin'
I make up for with lovin'
and Ohio cornfed curves
swirvin hi-ways
gentle genteel lo-ways
heart beats sweet between
rollin' hills
the heart of it all

Winter Sun

pale winter sun
between gray clouds
a white bird flying

by Kim Hodges

Chimera

The ghost-moon
Moves down to peer
in my window
The coffee stain
Shadows on the wall
Glide

Your mind is an illusion
Within the Truth of the World
A shimmering light being
Reflected in the rippling mirage effect

There Are No Angels

I have become too citified
root bound
corporeal and harsh
road rage challenged
with every stop and start

I need to pack my bags
and go
where the air is charged
with zing molecules
and voices sound like music

sit on the grass
barefoot
under ancient trees
and white pottery for wildflowers
growing at a child's grave

look back
where there are no angels
on this cold black mountain
called home

Follow Me To Eden

Follow me to Eden
sons of this broken Earth

Follow me to freedom
and the futures rebirth

Follow me to sun filled fields
to rivers blue as sky

Walk besides me
under the stars

by the water's side

By Johan Pierce

Silence

Silence;

Of a cathedral hall

A peaceful place
Of quiet reflection

In a pool of light
Shadows flow

Over the stone floor

By Chris D'Alessandro

Tea Leaves

tea leaves
swirl
in a stream of
thought

a lonely smile
a distant cry

tea leaves swirl
tea leaves
strive

eyes like stone
heart like steel

tea leaves tell
tea leaves swirl

By Cassandra Isley

Overflow

I told you I was loveless
you just shrugged and laughed

I am a fiend
a heartless man
and you are a fool

Love me if you want

I am a hollow husk
a barren plain
a dry brook

Selfish and vain
I cannot love

Crush you in my arms
and draw blood

By Chris D'Alessandro

The Magicians Scarf...

The ebon night flows
Delicate
  sable silk
Through my fingers

The stars
Tiny silver flecks
Liquid
  luminescent punctures
In the satin jet
  above the world
Revealing. . . what?

By William C Burns
