More rockers form Sweden! Division Of Laura Lee have a sound
you will recognize from the music of The Hives.
Somewhat more laid back though. Especially in the vocals department. Where
the Hives have more of a punk rock feel,
these guys have more of an old school rock and roll feel, with a shot of modern
Fugazi like dissonance at times.
The guitars are alternately twangy and heavy on the fuzz, the drums are
rockabilly like. The songs are catchy and
well written and the more I listen to this CD, the more I like it. My
favorite song on here was also the most mellow;
I Walk On Broken Glass. It reminded me of one of the songs
from the Twin Peaks soundtrack, real dreamy, twangy
and sad. The bottom line, is that if you like the Hives or the new
garage sound, you'll like this band a lot. Enjoyable CD.
