Every Time I Die - Hot Damn
This CD has a lot of energy. The sound is fast
to mid paced metalcore, with lots of breakdowns.
The vocals are screechy, but fit the music well. The drumming is
spastic and is the force
that seems to drive this musical machine. Lots of technical guitar
playing, but with rough
edges and imperfect performance, which lends this recording a sense of
"realness."
Some elements of rock are mixed in here as well, lending this a fairly original
sound.
This one will get your blood pumping for sure. Bottom line: Pure energy!
Favorites are I Been Gone Along Time, for the rock feel of the song
and She's My Rushmore,
for the straight up metalcore craziness.
