Hatebreed:  The Rise Of Brutality
I like the previous Hatebreed CD, but some songs more than others. The Rise Of Brutality is
more of the same.  No real progression musically.  However, this one is much more to
the point than the last one.  All of the songs are heavy and hard hitting. As usual, tons of
energy and a production sound that  matches.   Crunchy guitars, thrashing drums and gruff vocals.
The lyrics are what you'd expect from Hatebreed, lot's of "get up off your ass and take control of  your destiny"
kinda stuff.   Overall a good message in the lyrics, the antidote for emo so to speak.  Good mix of oldschool breakdowns
and fast parts.  Final verdict; no progression, more of the same, but  trimmed down to only the good stuff.
Like the saying goes: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.  This CD kicks ass.
