Stretch Armstrong - Engage
Some of Engage is what I expected form Stretch Armstrong; strong old school
hardcore with a bit of metallic / melodic edge thrown in.  The rest of it though is not  really
what I'm into.    This starts on Rising Again, which is song #3. A little spray of vocality in
the intro of what winds up being a heavy song.   It kind of deteriorates from there.  Express Yourself?
Come on man.  That just sounds so dated.   There are some high points of this CD, but many low ones too.
I was disappointed.  Especially since this was not a promo; I paid for this one man!  I liked
Raise Your Fist the best; a nice old school basher.  I guess if you like variety in your HC you may
enjoy this.  I just want straight out energy and anger. Stretch is a  good band, but they're making
music that I'm not really into.
